Pure Michigan Extends Marketing Deal With Tigers, Michigan Int’l Speedway

Pure Michigan, the state's travel and tourism campaign, "will continue" advertising at Tigers games and at Michigan Int'l Speedway's August NASCAR weekend, according to Bill Shea of CRAIN'S DETROIT BUSINESS.

Pure Michigan "will spend $325,000 annually over three years under a marketing relationship originally established" in '12 with the Tigers. The deal "includes 10 30-second Pure Michigan ads on the team’s in-house TigerVision that appears on the 300-plus TV monitors throughout Comerica Park during games, and 30 15-second digital banner ads."

Also part of the deal "is one 30-second Pure Michigan ad to air on the massive scoreboard during pregame and a 'bonus' spot to appear when available during the game."

Meanwhile, Pure Michigan also will spend $700,000 in '16 and $750,000 in '17 to "remain the title sponsor" of the NASCAR Sprint Cup race at MIS each August. The extension includes a "highway billboard, five grandstand billboards, six trackside billboards and three backstretch billboards." CRAINSDETROIT.com
