Ragan gets a ride

Sources have confirmed that David Ragan has a deal to drive the #23 Dr. Pepper Toyota for BK Racing in 2016. Heading into the season-finale at Homestead in 2015, Ragan was the favorite to drive the #9 Ford (new the #44) for Richard Petty Motorsports but a last-minute influx of sponsorship and cash helped foist Brian Scott into the driver's seat.

Although the details of the agreement are still in their infancy and haven't yet, been made public, sources did confirm that Ragan had a deal.

Attempts to reach out to Ragan regarding his future have been unsuccessful and in the past he said he didn't want to say anything that might jinx an opportunity. When contacted, a representative for BK Racing declined to comment on the report.

The ride was previous piloted by J.J. Yeley and then by Jeb Burton in a car (from #23 to #26) switch last season. There has been no word on Yeley's or Burton's futures.
