Jimmie Johnson On Pole For Sprint Unlimited
Jimmie Johnson will lead the field to the green flag in Saturday night's Sprint Unlimited race at Daytona International Speedway.
Crew chiefs randomly drew for their driver's starting position, with Johnson's crew chief Chas Knaus drawing the pole position for the in the 25-car field. Friday's draw will mark the first time Johnson will start in the pole for the pre-season, non-points event. Johnson has one victory in 13 starts in the event.
Brad Keselowski drew the outside pole, while AJ Allmendinger and Kyle Larson make up the second row. Ryan Newman rounded out the top five.
