Alonso expects 2016 to be another boring Mercedes parade
Alonso knows 2016 will be another Mercedes parade at the front |
While Sebastian Vettel, who replaced Fernando Alonso at Ferrari, posted the fastest lap at Barcelona for the second successive day, Nico Rosberg completed almost three races distances after he racked up 172 laps in his bullet-proof Mercedes.
"I think the Mercedes domination has not finished," Alonso warned. "They are very, very strong and they have had some interesting days.
"With that amount of laps it means they are very clear of things, so when they put that together with their potential they are stronger than ever probably.
"To win is not an easy task but I am very proud of the McLaren Honda team and what we have achieved in the last couple of months.
"The motivation is very high so who knows? I will like to be competitive and fighting for something important but honestly I don't know."
