LVMS confident about vehicle management plan for 2016 NASCAR Weekend
By working with local and county representatives for nearly two decades, LVMS has been able to design a fluid system for moving more than 100,000 avid NASCAR fans in and out of the 1.5-mile superspeedway. The track's traffic plan has continued to evolve and improve to create a more efficient process, and this year is no different.
The addition of the RaceDay Express shuttle bus service – which debuted at the 2015 NHRA Toyota Nationals and will transport thousands of fans to and from the speedway from the Strip and downtown Las Vegas – is the newest enhancement to LVMS' transportation options.
LVMS first began providing shuttles during the 2013 race season, and RaceDay Express takes it to the next level by providing a complete VIP experience.
Speedway officials urge fans to head to the track early and to utilize options like the Lucky 7 Preferred Lot, which will have three dedicated gates for the first hour following the races on Saturday and Sunday. In addition, all fans parked in the Blue Lot can exit through the remaining gates until Lot 7 is cleared, and once Lot 7 is empty, all gates will be opened to those parked in the Blue Lot.
