Graham Rahal to Make History in the 2016 IndyCar Season
Thirty years after his father won the Indianapolis 500, top driver and personality Graham Rahal is set to kick off the Verizon IndyCar Series season at the Firestone Grand Prix of St. Petersburg, where he won his first victory. If Graham Rahal wins the Indianapolis 500 this year, it will make his family the second father-son combo to achieve this victory. The partnership with the beloved Steakburger chain has become a lucky charm for Graham, who narrowly missed the points championship for the IndyCar Series last year.
Graham Rahal is striving to make history with the 30th anniversary with his dad’s big win.
“I’m looking forward to it, I think the entire Steak ‘n Shake team has a great opportunity ahead of us. Our goal is to get the season off on the right foot and get the momentum going. We had a great 2015 racking up two wins and six podiums.
Things are really looking up for the Verizon IndyCar series. There is a lot of momentum behind the series as a whole. A lot of new folks and re-energized fans and teams, so I’m excited and thrilled to be a part of it.
It’s been a great partnership. To have Steak ‘n Shake on board with me has been fun. I used to go all the time. For those who haven’t been, make sure you check it out. They got the new $4 menu and those prices will be locked for the entire year. The new Black Raspberry Chocolate Chip shake is pretty exciting. Of course I’ve got my shake, the Graham Rahal shake that we do in August typically, which is chocolate with M&M’s which is a hard one to beat. It’s been a great partnership for us. Last year we had a couple of wins and six podiums. This turned my career around."
Sounds like it is going to be a great season! newswatchTV.com
