IndyCar Alabama GP TV Rating (Update)

UPDATE Last Sunday’s IndyCar Series race from Alabama's 'final' rating had 279,000 viewers on NBCSN, down 7% from last year (300K), down 30% from 2014 (400K) and the smallest audience for the race since 2013 (253K). The race ranks as the least-watched of the young season (four telecasts) as IndyCar continues to hang from the NBCSN noose.

04/25/16 Yesterday's Honda Indy Grand Prix of Alabama on NBC Sports Network earned a 0.26 TV rating, up a few percentage points from the 2015 rating of 0.25 but still infomercial numbers while IndyCar continues to hang from the NBCSN noose. Try telling a sponsor your TV rating is 0.26 and see if they don't laugh you out the door. IndyCar must move 100% of its races to ABC network TV if it is ever going to grow. ABC will deliver over a 1.0 average rating per race and then sponsors will show interest.
