NTT Group to Serve as Primary Partner on Tony Kanaan’s No. 10 Chevrolet

NTT DATA Chip Ganassi Racing announced today that Verizon IndyCar Series Champion and Indianapolis 500 Winner Tony Kanaan and the team's No. 10 Chevrolet will have NTT Group on-board as the primary partner this weekend at the Angie's List Grand Prix of Indianapolis at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway (IMS).
NOTES OF INTEREST:
- NTT Group at the Track: NTT Group has been the primary partner on a CGRT Indy car twice (2014, 2015). They ran their first primary paint scheme with CGRT at the 2014 Verizon IndyCar Series season finale in Sonoma with Ryan Briscoe piloting the No. 8 car and then again in 2015 at Texas Motor Speedway with Kanaan piloting the No. 10 car. The NTT Group Chevrolet has never finished outside of the top 10 and made it onto the podium with Kanaan driving to a second-place finish at Texas Motor Speedway in 2015.

- Kanaan On-Track: 2004 Verizon IndyCar Series Champion and 2013 Indianapolis 500 Winner Kanaan is in his third year with CGRT. Kanaan continues to pilot the No. 10 car and represents NTT DATA for the second year. The Brazilian has 17 career wins and 15 poles entering the Grand Prix of Indianapolis. He is the all-time Indy car leader in consecutive starts with 253 consecutive starts dating back to the Portland race in 2001 and he has 314 career starts. Kanaan has 125 top-five finishes, tying him for seventh on the all-time list with Helio Castroneves. In 2004, he became the first driver to complete every possible lap in a season in route to winning the championship. Kanaan added his first-ever Rolex 24 At Daytona win in the IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship to his career resume in 2015 alongside CGRT teammates Scott Dixon, Kyle Larson, and Jamie McMurray.
