Mercedes power runs 1-2-3 in opening British GP practice

Mercedes powered cars ran 1-2-3 in opening practice for the British GP at Silverstone Friday morning.

Mercedes factory team drivers Lewis Hamilton swapped the top spot on the charts all session long before Hamilton finally settled it with a 1m31.654s to barely edge Nico Rosberg who put up a lap of 1m31.687s

Nico Hulkenberg was third for Force India ahead of the Ferrari of Sebastian Vettel who reported a gearbox issue at the end of the session, which could be bad news for the German.

Daniel Riccardo rounded out the top-5 for Red Bull just ahead of Kimi Raikkonen in the 2nd Ferrari.
