NASCAR Sprint Cup Series qualifying for the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 400 at Chicagoland Speedway was rained out Friday afternoon.

The starting lineup will be set by the Rule Book, with leading Chase seeds Kyle Busch and Brad Keselowski on the front row for Sunday’s first race in the Chase for the NASCAR Sprint Cup.

Denny Hamlin and Kevin Harvick will make up the second row with Carl Edwards and Martin Truex Jr. making up row three. The fourth row will have two former champions with Matt Kenseth and six-time champion Jimmie Johnson. Joey Logano and Kyle Larson will round out the top-10.

Tony Stewart and fellow Stewart-Haas driver Kurt Busch will make up row six with Chris Buescher and Chase Elliott in row seven. Austin Dillon and Jamie McMurrary are the final two cars in the chase and will make up the eighth row.

NASCAR Sprint Cup Series qualifying was scheduled for 5:45 p.m. The tentative plan is to give the Sprint Cup Series teams practice if the weather cooperates.

Sprint Cup teams will have two practice sessions on Saturday at 10 a.m. and 1 p.m. in preparation for Sunday’s race.
– A rain cell came over the track during NASCAR XFINITY Series practice, bringing a stop to on-track activity.
– Kyle Busch, who is also competing in the XFINITY Series race, blew is motor in his NOS Energy Toyota about 15 minutes into practice.
– Track officials are hoping for the rain cell to move over the track and have it dried in time for NASCAR Camping World Truck Series qualifying which is scheduled for 3:30 p.m. central time.
