Hour 4: Audi 1-2 in 6-Hours of Bahrain

  • Lucas Di Grassi in No.8 Audi R18 moves back in to lead after third scheduled stop but then relinquishes first place back to Benoit Treluyer after pitting under Full Course Yellow
  • Earlier, Andre Lotterer took lead from Oliver Jarvis in second hour and two lapped just seconds apart before Lucas Di Grassi exited pits to enjoy an initial 14-second lead
  • Lead moves back to No.8 Audi R18 just before fifth hour arrives as pit stops even out
  • Third placed No.1 Porsche 919 Hybrid driven by Brendan Hartley places a lonely third position ahead of Toyota Gazoo Racing TS 050 Hybrid’s of Stephane Sarrazin and Anthony Davidson who run nose-to-tail
  • No.2 Porsche 919 Hybrid continues to circulate in sixth place but Romain Dumas’ stint is spoiled by poor handling. Marc Lieb takers over the driving seat just before halfway mark
