11/21/16 Jimmie Johnson secured his seventh NASCAR Cup Series title yesterday at Homestead-Miami Speedway, and NBC drew a 3.2 overnight rating for the finale. That figure is down 25% from last year on NBC, but up 14% from ESPN in ’14. While this year had Johnson’s historic win and the last race for Tony Stewart, last season saw the finale for Jeff Gordon (still in contention as well) and also saw the race push into primetime after a rain delay.
