Hyatt announced the second year of its sponsorship with Rahal Letterman Lanigan Racing (RLLR), an auto racing team that currently races in the Verizon IndyCar Series. The RLLR sponsorship is a natural extension for World of Hyatt, Hyatt’s new global platform, which creates genuine and trusted experiences for guests and loyalty program members in a truly meaningful way.

“World of Hyatt is about connecting our community to the people, places and experiences at the heart of their world – both within and beyond the walls of our hotels," said Debra Goetz, senior vice president of corporate marketing for Hyatt. “RLLR is part of the extended Hyatt family, and we are thrilled to build on our sponsorship to give our passionate fans a one-of-a-kind experience they will always remember."

World of Hyatt intends to capitalize on IndyCar’s increasing popularity, coupled with the continued emergence of Graham Rahal as one of the circuit’s top drivers. In addition, the racing team’s commitment to excellence aligns with Hyatt’s overall purpose: to care for people to be their best. RLLR is jointly owned by legendary racecar driver Bobby Rahal, former late night talk show host David Letterman and Mi-Jack owner Michael Lanigan.

“We’re excited to be working with World of Hyatt for a second season as our official hotel sponsor. We have been part of the Hyatt family for many years, and look forward to welcoming even more World of Hyatt guests into our world at the racetrack," said Bobby Rahal, RLLR co-owner.

As the official hotel marketing sponsor of RLLR, World of Hyatt will appear prominently on the side of the Graham Rahal’s Number 15 Indy car. Hyatt owners, development partners and customers, in addition to World of Hyatt members, may be offered exclusive access to Graham and Bobby Rahal, as well as enjoy VIP experiences at several race weekends during the season. The team’s crew, owners, drivers, and sponsors will also have the opportunity to stay at Hyatt-branded hotels throughout the IndyCar Series schedule.

Bobby Rahal, RLLR co-owner and Graham’s father, claimed that he is "excited to be working with World of Hyatt for a second season. This sponsorship extension should definitely prove beneficial to the series as a whole. First off, Hyatt is a big-name company. Next, they are sponsoring one of the best up-and-coming drivers in all of motorsports. Finally, they are doing so in a series growing in popularity. This can only do wonders for the sport." The Streets of Long Beach, California, will host the next IndyCar race around the famed 11-turn, 1.968-mile temporary street circuit. The race is scheduled to take place on Sunday, April 9th, 2017. Rahal will look to rebound from a 17th place finish at this past weekend’s season opener.
