Rain Cancels Bristol Cup Series Qualifying

Rain showers forced NASCAR officials to cancel today's qualifying session for Sunday's Food City 500 Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series race at Bristol Motor Speedway. The lineup for Sunday's race will be determined by owners points and race attempts.

Points leader Kyle Larson will start on the front row alongside Chase Elliott. Martin Truex, Jr., Brad Keselowski and Joey Logano will round out the top five starters.

The weekend forecast calls for more rain showers on Saturday and Sunday, possibly pushing Sunday's Cup Series race into the late evening or even to a Monday start. Green flag is tentatively scheduled for Sunday at 2pm.
