Friday morning update from Indy (Update)

UPDATE The drivers are in pit lane and some cars are on track. The rain is coming according to the radar. But it is dry for the moment.

Howard was fastest on Thursday, can he do it again when the turbo boost is turned up today?

Good morning from the Indianapolis Motor Speedway. The track is pretty soggy at the moment. Heavy storms rolled through the area around 5 am this morning. The ground is wet but the skies look like they are clearing up. The sun is shinning on the backstretch right now. Hopefully the rain will hold off the rest of the day.

IndyCar practice starts at noon today. This is the last day to make adjustments to the cars for qualifying. Today the drivers will receive an extra boost of horsepower for the rest of the weekend.

I will update you on the weather situation as the day unfolds.
