LeMans 24 Hour 13: Leading LMP2 Rebellion loses lead

LMP1

Still steady going for the leader, #1 Porsche. Nick Tandy has gotten out of the car and handed it over to Andre Lotterer.

The #2 Porsche (Hartley) is still second in class, but back in 16th overall.

The sole Toyota (#8) is still a long way back in 38th overall.

LMP2

The LMP2 class created the most drama in the 13th hour of the race. After leading the first half of the race, the #31 ORECA from Vaillante Rebellion came into the garage with a brake issue. The team made a quick repair and sent the car back out with Nicolas Prost behind the wheel. Prost is now third, but is lapping a bit slower than he was before the trip to the garage.

The new class leader is the #38 ORECA from Jackie Chan DC Racing. Ho-Pin Tung has a less than a five second lead over Prost’s teammate, David Heinemeier Hansson in the #13 ORECA.

Running fourth, the #35 Alpine that set the quickest LMP2 lap time on the test day is in the hands of Pierre Ragues at the moment.

LMGTE Pro

The LMGTE Pro category is putting on a fantastic show across four different makes, each of which is on a different fuel strategy. Aston Martin, Ferrari, Porsche and Ford fans all get to see their favorite car lead the class depending on where in the pit sequence you check the timing screens.

The #51 Ferrari (Pier Guidi) is the current leader and has only 10 seconds on the #95 Aston Martin (Thiim). His Aston Martin teammate, Darren Turner, is right there with him in the #97, in third.

LMGTE Am

The #84 Ferrari is still putting on a clinic in LMGTE Am with a nearly a full lap on second place.

The #90 Aston Martin, #77 Porsche and #55 Ferrari continue to fight over who will lead the chase to catch the JMW Motorsport entry.
