Power leads Penske 1-2-3-4 in opening Gateway practice

Only one team has the Team Penske shock package – Team Penske. Hence Team Penske dominates the IndyCar Series and today was nothing different as Team Penske ran 1-2-3-4 in opening practice for the Bommarito Automotive Group 500K at Gateway Motorsports Park.

Will Power turned the fastest lap at 24.252s 185.551 mph on the 1.25-mile kidney shaped oval.

Josef Newgarden was 2nd quick in the #2 Chevy ahead of Simon Pagenaud and Helio Castroneves – all within 0.2077s of each other.

The first non-Penske shock driver was Ed Jones who rounded out the top-5 in the #19 Dale Coyne Honda.
