Grand-Am team to move to ALMS

Our sources tell us that a team currently in the Grand-Am series will soon announce they are leaving to go to ALMS and run in the LMP1 category. No work yet on which team it is or what car they will run. But just like with Champ Car/IRL, the split between ALMS and Grand-Am is bad for sportscar racing. It divides the fan base and makes them choose sides, and it drives sponsors away who don't want to pick sides or know which side to pick. And now we are going to see competing winged sprint car series. Isn't that just dandy? Might as well divide and conquer all forms of motorsports but NASCAR, so in the end the only thing left standing is NASCAR.
