Kenseth renegotiating with Roush
Matt Kenseth was busy testing last week at Kansas and Charlotte, and while his immediate concern was working on his Busch setups, the 2003 Cup champion and his fellow Roush racers also have been thinking about the personnel turnover that will come at the end of this season. "Definitely people come at your good guys with money, especially during contract years," Kenseth says. "It's not as bad as the NFL yet, but that's all part of the sport. You have to audit your own system and keep up with incentives and keep up with the payroll because other teams will do what it takes to get your drivers and your crew members that they want." Kenseth is renegotiating his own contract but says, "I'm certainly planning on staying at Roush." Sporting News
