Graham Rahal led a Honda 1-2-3-4-5 in opening practice for the IndyCar GP at Watkins Glen. Rahal's time of 1m23.260s was 0.2 sec. faster that Alexander Rossi with Max Chilton and Scott Dixon close behind in 3rd and 4th.
On a cool but sunny day in the Finger Lakes of New York state, James Hinchcliffe rounded out the top-5 0.5 sec. behind Rahal.
