Haas has confirmed that Ferrari youngster Antonio Giovinazzi will take part in Formula 1 practice for the Singapore Grand Prix next week to make up for losing his planned run at Monza.

2016 GP2 runner-up Giovinazzi was confirmed to be taking part in seven practice sessions with Haas this year back in May, starting at the Hungarian Grand Prix.

After driving Kevin Magnussen’s VF-17 for the first time in Britain, Giovinazzi will take the Dane’s seat again in the opening session in Singapore.

Giovinazzi has four other FP1 outings planned for the remainder of the season, in Malaysia, Mexico, Brazil and Abu Dhabi.

He will replace Romain Grosjean in the VF-17 in Mexico and Magnussen elsewhere.
