04/07/06 The Otaru, Japan contingent is here in Long Beach and they are getting closer to putting a deal together for a Champ Car race….Tide is the primary sponsor on Ranger's car, Mi-Jack on Zwolsman, Optium on Legge, Gulfstream on Servia, Bell Micro on Vasser, Hole in the Wall Gang on Junqueira, and blank sidepods on Allmendinger.

04/07/06 Both CTE-Racing HVM cars are sporting "A Bird and A Bear Entertainment" company sponsorship. Both Dan Clarke's and Nelson Philippe's car are painted identical – gray with yellow and red highlights. This may be the new team sponsor that Keith Wiggins alluded to a week or so ago. ……Ran into Nicky Pastorelli and his manager who are both hopeful that Nicky will be in the second Rocketsports car by Houston. We kidded around about a possible race in Holland someday now that there might be two Dutch drivers in the series. Nicky said it would be huge. He hears the A1GP race at Zandvoort has sold most of their grandstand tickets already, such is the love of racing by the Dutch.
