Major shakeup at Honda

Honda have started an internal overhaul to try and shake its Formula One team out of its slump.

According to autosport.com, technical director Geoff Willis has been pulled from his weekend Grand Prix duties and will focus on making improvements to the car back at the team's factory.

In addition, Honda have decided that they will make their own independent tire choices on race weekends, rather than falling in line with McLaren and Renault. It was a policy the team used through the first three races of the season.

The move comes in the wake of a disastrous weekend at Silverstone which saw Jenson Button fail to make it out of the first qualifying session due to a time management error on the part of the team.
