Changes coming at Forsythe Racing

UPDATE #4 It was announced to the team yesterday that they will be a two car Atlantic team (we assume for American John Edwards and Canadian Robert Wickens) for 2007 instead of four, so our original information was correct.

12/02/06 Now hearing that Forsythe Racing might still run four Atlantic cars next year, contrary to earlier reports. We hear two of the four drivers will be from last year's foursome.

12/02/06 We hear that a good number of people at Forsythe Racing have been handed pink slips since the season concluded as the team looks to restructure for improved results……as we rumored below would happen. One reason for the cutbacks could be that Forsythe has decided to cut his Atlantic program from 4 cars to two cars in 2007. Fours cars diluted the effort and the team did not net the results they anticipated. Also, with Red Bull sponsoring both cars they may not want any other sponsors on the team's Atlantic cars.

11/13/06 Failed to mention when we first posted this rumor that another related rumor has Justin Wilson possibly switching to the Forsythe Championship Racing team from the RuSPORT team, which is being sold by Carl Russo. We have updated our 2007 Champ Car Silly Season page accordingly.

11/12/06 Word in the Champ Car paddock is that many changes are anticipated for the Forsythe Champ Car team in the off-season as they make adjustments necessary to pull the team up to the level needed to make a run at the championship year in and year out.
