Will DTM’s departure pave way for Champ Car?

Will there be two European races added to the 2007 Champ Car schedule? We know that Assen is a go if a 2nd suitable race can be found to partner Assen. A number of circuits have been mentioned including Zolder, Athens, Oschersleben and LeMans.

The DTM won't return to Le Mans for their France Round. The 2006 event at the circuit Bugatti did not attract as many spectators as both the DTM and the ACO had expected. Why would it when the DTM is primarily a German series?

However, Champ Car has a real "French" connection with a number of drivers from France – Bourdais, Philippe and Pagenaud with Premat and Moreau knocking on the door. A Champ Car race at LeMans therefore, may attract a lot of fan interest.
