Chevrolet Racing Reaches Deal With The Weather Company

Chevrolet Racing has purchased the services of The Weather Company (TWC) to improve the team’s decision making across several series as it relates to outdoor conditions.

Terms were not disclosed for the deal. But IBM Global Head of Business Marketing Michelle Boockoff-Bajdek, whose company owns TWC, said Chevy becomes a customer of the company through the pact.

The deal will be used across Chevy’s racing interests in NASCAR, IndyCar and IMSA. It will see TWC integrate its weather-insight technology into Chevy’s race software apps. This is TWC’s second deal in motorsports after it became an official NASCAR partner last year.

TWC’s consumer-facing brand is The Weather Channel.
