Abu Dhabi to change 3pm start time?

Organizers of the season-ending Abu Dhabi Grand Prix have revealed that they are considering changing the start time of their race to a 'unique' hour, as opposed to the mid-afternoon slot of 3pm which is currently scheduled. The Yas Marina circuit, still currently 'work in progress', will make history by becoming the first to host a Grand Prix in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) when the season comes to a close on 1 November.

"At the moment the start time is 3pm," circuit chief Philippe Gurdjian confirmed to Autosport. "The final decision depends on Mr. Ecclestone (head of Formula One Management). We have a certain idea of what we would like to do, but I cannot yet tell you what it is! We have a very specific idea, and I hope we will be able to do it – but it would be as unique as the track."
