Red Bull drivers Daniel Ricciardo and Max Verstappen ran 1-2 in the opening track cleaning session for the Singapore GP. With the track now clean and rubber laid down, faster times will be laid down in practice 2.

Ricciardo's lap of 1m39.711s was 0.201s faster than teammate Verstappen to make it an all-Red Bull row 1.

Row 2 was all Ferrari (remember F1 is 99% car 1% driver) with Sebastian Vettel 0.286s behind his former Red Bull teammate but Kimi Raikkonen was a whopping 0.775s behind.

Nico Hulkenberg rounded out the top-5 for Renault 1.4s back. A sandbagging Lewis Hamilton was 6th 1,5s back for Mercedes.

New Ferrari hire Charles Leclerc was the only driver to truly fall foul of this street circuit, catching his tire on the exit of the Anderson Bridge and pulling off track with a damaged C37. Sauber will have their work cut out to get his car ready for FP2 later on today.

Slowest Stoffel Vandoorne was a whopping 5.4s off the pace for McLaren
