Video: Australia IndyCar-like S5000 takes next step ahead of 2019 launch
S5000 Car |
Speedcafe.com sat down with S5000 category manager Chris Lambden to discuss Australia's answer to IndyCar….complete with a screaming naturally aspirated V8 and Halo for driver safety, both of which IndyCar should have but does not. Cost per car $300K and is manufacturerd by Ligier. Did you notice the manufacturer's nameplate in the video? It says Ligier Denver NC USA. That chassis is made in North Carolina! Onroak acquired Crawford Composites and serves as Ligier's US manufacturing facility. Onroak has an agreement to manufacture for Ligier.
