IndyCar loses another major sponsor (Update)
The turn 2 suites will need to be repainted with Fuzzy's exit |
UPDATE It seems the announcement of Fuzzy's leaving IndyCar is even worse that we thought.
They are leaving the Indy Speedway too.
The company has partnered with Indianapolis Motor Speedway as the “official vodka" of the Indianapolis 500 and the Grand Prix of Indianapolis. It has produced several IndyCar-related commemorative bottles of vodka over the years and sponsored suites at IMS.
As we have said for a long time, as long as races are broadcast on NBCSN with its minuscule TV ratings, sponsors will continue to exit the IndyCar paddock |
10/29/18 One of IndyCar’s most recognizable brands will not be returning to the series in 2019. Ed Carpenter Racing confirmed Monday that Fuzzy’s Vodka — which has sponsored ECR since its inception in 2012 — will not be with the team next season.
“It is like the end of an era," Carpenter told IndyStar. “But at the same time, I look at it as starting a new chapter for the team. I’m really thankful for all of the support that they’ve given us. I’m proud of what we’ve done together."
