Hamilton over Raikkonen in final Abu Dhabi practice
Hamilton will be #1 when it counts too |
Sandbagging on Friday, Lewis Hamilton put his Aldo Costa designed Mercedes on top in final practice for the Abu Dhabi GP at the Yas Marina circuit.
The Ferraris of Kimi Raikkonen and Sebastian Vettel were 2nd and 3rd but when it counts the Costa Mercedes will be on top.
Max Verstappen and Valtteri Bottas rounded out the top-5.
Poor Daniel Ricciardo is getting the same send off Vettel got when he was leaving Red Bull – a junk car.
Ricciardo again suffered late reliability issues in the session.
Replays showed some sort of mechanical problem, leading to Riccardo pulling over onto an escape road and disconsolately climbing out of his cockpit.
