Rahal to move team to Indy
The team long based in Hilliard, Ohio, is considering an Indianapolis base because of the financial incentives offered by Indiana entities. Rahal said he will field a two-car team with the engine partner — likely Honda — and drivers to be named later.
Rahal vowed to have "two competitive drivers." He is proud that his team, which won the Indianapolis 500 in 2004 with Buddy Rice, took drivers such as Rice, Michel Jourdain Jr., Danica Patrick and Bertrand Baguette when other teams would not.
Rahal's organization, which operates a BMW sports car team, has not competed full time in IndyCar since 2008. It nearly won its second 500 this year with Baguette, who pitted for fuel as the leader with three laps left, and fielded rookie Pippa Mann in three late-season oval races. Indy Star
