Lewis Hamilton got the jump on his Mercedes teammate Valtteri Bottas at the start of the Chinese GP and the race was over with Hamilton leading polesitter Bottas home to an easy 1-2. The Mercedes were too fast for the Ferraris in the high-speed corners of Shanghai and the best the Italians could do was a distant third. Hamilton led all the way for his 75th F1 victory in this the 1,000th Grand Prix.
