2022 is finally here and along with it a brand-new season of NASCAR. This year’s schedule is jam-packed full of exciting events for racing aficionados to look forward to, so let’s get right to it. Here are some upcoming races to secure tickets for today!

Clash at the Coliseum

Every NASCAR fan knows that a new season of racing always kicks off with the highly anticipated pre-season event, the Busch Light Clash at the Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum. This race has taken place annually since 1979 and presents a variety of top racing talent across organizations. In 2022, a total of 36 drivers from 16 different teams will compete for victory.

The main event will be held on 6February 6th with practice rounds and qualifying heats preceding. Joe Gibbs Racing’s own Kyle Busch took last year’s title just like he did in 2012, but rookies Austin Cindric and Harrison Burton are undoubtedly ones to watch nowadays. For those unable to attend live, FOX Sports will air complete coverage of the race throughout the weekend.

The Daytona 500 has consistently boasted the highest television ratings out of any other race in NASCAR

Daytona 500

The words ‘Daytona 500’ are music to any racing fan’s ears, as this prestigious spectacle is hands down the most popular and widely follow competition in the sport. Not only that, but it historically marks the official start date of the NASCAR Cup Series season. The 64th edition is slated for February 20th with a full week of thrilling racing action leading up to the big day. Michael McDowell of Front Row Motorsports is the reigning champ and will no doubt look to defend his title in yet another heated face off at the Daytona International Speedway. With six races across four divisions, fans will have more than one opportunity to show support for their favorite drivers.

The Daytona 500 is also one of the most popular NASCAR events for wagering, so expert pundits are already busy at work narrowing down the top contenders. However, fans still have plenty of time to review betting odds and choose their picks. Additionally, because mobile sports betting in New York is now fully regulated and legal with bets going live as of January 2022, even residents of the Empire State can participate in convenient NASCAR wagering. Tickets to the event are already on sale, so if you want to witness this iconic race in person, make a plan to attend today. One thing’s for certain—there’s no other crowd roar like a Daytona 500 crowd roar.

Auto Club 400

The next event to mark your calendar for is the famous Auto Club 400. Fans won’t have to worry about waiting too long for another show after the Daytona 500 excitement has died down as this competition will kick off just one week after (27 February) the Florida race ends. However, this time the NASCAR series will swap East Coast for West, with the race taking place at the Auto Club Speedway in Fontana, California.

More West Coast action will follow, with other events in the same series slated for Las Vegas and Phoenix. In-person attendance may for the Auto Club 400 may not be as high as the Daytona 500, but it’s still a major race on NASCAR’s schedule that features intense qualifying rounds and supreme high-speed entertainment.

NASCAR All-Star Race

Jumping forwards a bit to the spring season, the NASCAR All-Star Race will kick off in late May, returning to its famous venue Texas Motor Speedway. As its name suggests, the 1.5-mile track will welcome only the best contenders from professional racing as they each compete for their chance at a $1.1 million prize pool.

Last year, Kyle Larson from Hendrick’s Motorsport took home the win during a final, nail-biting 10-lap shootout that had every fan in the crowd going wild. Other drivers that have a good shot this year are Christopher Bell and Cole Custer. Check out the full lineup for the 2022 All-Star spectacle ahead of race day here.
